Abstract: The work analyzes existing methods for assessing the development of production in the food industry in order to identify the most preferable growth factors for calculation and analysis. Analysis of growth factors is an urgent task for any production, regardless of industry, since the use of effective algorithms for analyzing the dynamics of development of food industry organizations allows one to adapt to changing market conditions and make strategic management decisions. The article proposes a general form of an assessment model based on an index approach with regressions, which allows one to obtain a quantitative assessment of the influence of production growth factors and adjust the development plan if necessary. An example of the use of this model in relation to the food industry is given, showing how the influence of intensive and extensive factors of production growth can be assessed.
